Thanks for watching and commenting :)

The sensitivity of film  in contre jour is outstanding !

Film supports a dynamic of light superior than sensor of my M9

Notice the details of waves in the foreground and the various plans in background !

Henry

* another day , another place near Quang Nam some few kilometers to South , this detail for Eoin :)

Much struggling with today's LR update in Creative Cloud. It fails with an error code saying the download has an invalid signature. I have submitted a bug report to Adobe. All this after following standard Adobe procedure and uninstalling, using the CleanerTool, restarting and reinstalling. I have it working again but I have been downgraded to an older version (Build 1014445. Before this 'update' I was at Build 1083169).

Better news is that the ground glass came for the SWC, but it was filthy. I cleaned it and discovered it is two layers and my cleaning fluid was now between them. So with some tiny screwdrivers I took it to bits, cleaned, dried, reassembled, and am now ready to try it out. I have a prism finder that fits it, but the view is dark and tunnel-like, and, of course, inverted. I could be looking at 10x8" of ground glass if I wanted that kind of thing. I hope it works better than it looks!

Without the couple in the boat this scenery could have been taken everywhere - e.g in France :)

Yes James ... but you forgot the atmosphere , the warmth of the people,

the warmth of the tropics as 37 ° C ,  the relax side  ... and we don't have that  in France :D

Chris , you imagine at each time if Windows OS* change , you must redo everything
if not compatible and ultimately how we'll see our images on our computer ?

"When you dip into the computer , you can not see the end"  its a computer engineer who told me
In your case it went well now but the next time... imagine that in 20 years

I discovered this when Windows has stopped Windows XP

ok, Chris.  Now hold on a second.  I thought you were going to give the focus screen + prism finder a fair shake?  What the hell kind of fair shake is this? First a shlocky filthy GG and then you attach it to a prism that puts the image upside down, totally ignoring my suggestion to get the rmfx prism that puts it right side up???  Now I am going to have to roll out some of my close up macro photos, which you are NOT going to get from 12" away with your 8x10 !!

On a recent visit to Lyon we visited the rather new Musee des Confluences in Lyon.

Situated at the junction of the Rhone and Saone, it has a rather striking design.

(I posted a rather unsharp picture some 20 pages earlier...)

very nice, Christpoh.  But I have a feeling that the words on the sign add this this photo.  What does it say, for us uncultured folk?

...

Adam,

Thanks. To be honest I don't know in detail either. The look in the face of that dog and his posture caught my attention.

I then noticed the no dogs sign in the left bottom corner, and only later when studying the image I realised items

like the minimum age, hight, maximum weight etc.

My wife told me that I have to make some huge prints for putting them on the wall. It was a pain in the a.. to handle such huge sheets in my small darkroom. But it worked :-) And no problems with grain on a 40x50cm- Sheet...

The few times I travelled to France I made different experiences: Warm and friendly weather and people, mostly very relaxed - and the best: not 12 flight hours away ;)

The dead inhabitants did revive after 7 minutes, and therefore you couldn't find them.
