73 films this year!

I did a quick count to date, Dec 23, 2024, I have shot 73 films this year! I think film must be my preference. I certainly enjoy handling and using film bodies, especially my older ones. Added to which I get great satisfaction from developing and scanning my films. I find it therapeutic. Regrettably, despite have a seriously good darkroom, I find a hybrid process has won me over. I only develop film in the darkroom, but no wet printing in a long time, despite having a super good wall mounted enlarging system. In the past I have processed prints on 50" roll paper up to 12' long. These days the wet bench is limited to large trays of 25x21 inches ea.

Cool, that's enough for a short 4min Hollywood movie!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all you special people who practice film photography. Thank you for sharing your photographs here - there have been some excellent pictures which have been ventilated in these pages. I salute your perseverance and singular dedication to doing it the 'hard' way!

I found this wooden door that covers the narrow passage between two houses in Seligenstadt very interesting

It doesn't look like Christmas, but this morning it felt like winter at the Fjord.
