Any idea what's in the pot? Thanks a lot Philip. Yes, pamonha (but in reality, nothing). Corn dumplings similar to Mexican tamales. When I go to this "pamonharia" and the proprietor sees my camera, she asks me to take a photo and put it on Trip Adviser. I did so in 2017 (see below) but don't think I'll post this one - the black and white and the grain makes it look old and the pan was waiting to be washed - Brazilians wouldn't find this very appetising, I don't think. 🙂 Here's the old photo which was probably more on the money. The pamonhas at Pamonharia Souza in Pirenópolis, Goiás (this place) are the best I've ever eaten! Cheers, Welcome, dear visitor! The cells are actually smallish meeting spaces with chairs and tables that are firmly bolted to the floor. Truly functional and used for conversations counsel-client or among the accused, as well as having snacks or lunch. I have put more photos of these areas in this post on my main Instagram but this is my favourite of the photos I took of the individual cells. Welcome, dear visitor! Dust Storm, Algerian Sahara 1980 Canon, 35mm, Kodachrome 64 This is one of your images that has been haunting me for nearly the past month, something alien passing this way. David Lean would have waited for it. That asphalt demarcation in the foreground, perhaps a Tarkovsky Stalker safe zone where safety is only an allusion playing to the murmur of those thirsty diesel engines groaning for their turn at refueling. Omar Sharif dances in mirage out of the dust storm. Lawrence anticipates with compass in hand. This is how it translates at the border for me: Mars Rising M-A APO 50 ADOX Color Implosion
