According to the Manual of Overwhelmed Photographers ( MOP ) you need at least 3 of 5 symptoms occurring at least on three subsequent days to make a diagnosis: --hunting for lost negatives --compulsively wiping lenses that have already been cleaned over and over -- developing the delusion of needing more lenses and/or cameras --ordering filters and lens caps for lenses that are unlikely to be used in the next five years -- going to places and taking the same photo again and again Since the MOP seems to spread, more symptoms are likely to be observed ( contributor has to disclose he just bought a very nice Rolleicord and a Agfa Isolette--the latter of considerable sentimental value ) These aquisitions don't fit into the list of symptoms, since they were absolutely necessary.... ) 😇

I want to cast Alan Arkin, just to keep the Catch-22 dark humor around as long as I can. I am MOP done for, since I checked off all the boxes, though I've convinced myself I'm going to use ALL those lenses.

Adjacent to the Pyramids, Egypt 1987 Canon A1, FDn35mm f2, Kodachrome 64 Again, your composition must be an inherited gene, so intricate and involved, so right on target. In drama, it's called in medias res, a narrative starting in the middle of things, and so it is here. The levels of perspective, the flash of red, layering, contrast, and the camel, the glare of the sand, it all sings in K64. And that mud house. Editing the composition of this, nothing can be omitted without disturbing the harmony. It is actually desert minimalism. Is that an aesthetic that's been going on for a couple of thousand years?
