Guest Nowhereman Posted April 24, 2020 Share #68826 Posted April 24, 2020 As I have a print that I like of this image, I finally searched for and found the scanned file, which was made in the 1990s with the first scanner that I had, the Leafscan 45. I had bought it when the Baltimore Sun was getting rid of a batch of them for around $50 each. I took the image in 1998, while living in Tokyo and shortly before I had ever seen any of Daido Moriyama's work. Shortly thereafter I bought Moriyama's small On the Road book, which was first time I saw any of his work: seems I was predisposed to like it. M6 | Summicron 35v4 | Tri-X Welcome, dear visitor! Thanks Phil, the lomography company designed a few years ago a 2/85 Lens according to the designs of Petzval, a famous lensmaker In the times of Daguerre or thereabouts. That lens knows all about distortion and abberations, etc. 1

Popular Post Sparkassenkunde Posted April 24, 2020 Popular Post Share #68840 Posted April 24, 2020 The next picture was taken by me about 35 years ago. I am not sure, which camera I used back then, either a Smena SL or a Beirette SL 100 N. Film is Orwo NP 20:. The film wasn't properly stored the last decades - it just lay around somewhere as long as I remember. Yesterday I put it in my development tank and let it sit for a while in distilled water. Some agitations to get rid of the dust worked wonders - only the scratches remained. I might give it some more patience in Lightroom to get this solved. Welcome, dear visitor!
