Here is the next photo in the evolution of the dawn/sunrise.  For me, it was the sweet spot in terms of light and color 😍

And I think the panorama format is a perfect match 😍

today I had some time to start scanning my pictures:

Not to shabby at all for a super long exposure on 35mm - I think that was other 3 or 6 mins - in any case it is very impressive.

It is interesting to see results from the same scene taken on the same film at more or less the same time with three different film formats.  Very cool!!

Love the progression of the red, Rog.  Reminds me of an indian red sunset.  You might consider leveling the dark horizontal line toward the bottom (to help me carry out my vision of that being the horizon :)

Amazing Dirk.  What lens was that?  24mm?  It almost feels like a little wider would have been ideal.  But 24mm is pretty damn wide, which makes me think it was a longer lens

100% beauty, indeed.  I don't usually do this, but I am fixated on her eye color.  They look to be a light shade, which makes me want to know what a color version would look like.  It's a 10 out of 10 in B&W as it is, don't get me wrong!

We are now in the holiday of Sukkot and last Sunday I made a visit to Williamsburg (as I have done the past couple of years) to enjoy the bazaar that they have on the street filled with people selling the "four species" (consisting of various leaves and etrog fruits) that are used during this holiday.  Each of these has special spiritual significance and there are numerous laws governing the minimum condition that each of these "species" must possess and then the enhanced conditions that are not strictly required but nonetheless is praiseworthy to seek out, that is if you can afford it.  There was a lot of haggling going on and that of course was a big part of the fun.  I had to purchase my own sets of "four species" for myself and son and so enjoyed the art of negotiation along with everyone else.

Based on last year's results, I packed a roll of the Ferrarnia P30 in my M3, which is no longer being sold although I hear that they are bringing it back.   I just love the deep blacks and torqued highlights in this film and feel that it is a perfect match for the atmosphere in Williamsburg with all of the black coats and hats.  I still have a couple rolls of the film left, less one that I gifted to Marc @benqui as a welcome gift during his recent visit to NYC. 😉

I used my 50mm DR Cron and had to shoot nearly wide open given the 80 ISO.

I took all but one during my 2 hours there and I threw one in from last year as it is one of my favorites :)

Pardon the flood of images - I just feel that it is more fun to view these as a series rather than a bunch of one offs...
