Color, composition, volume, texture--transient clouds against blocks of yellow and blue color, and that blue sky crying for cobalt and Prussian. Wowee-zowee.

As I’ve said before, it’s mostly the film! Hardware is secondary (even your 50 Summicron ASPH ;) )

Thank you so much James, Rog and Mute. Like Velvia, Ektachrome 100 has a lot to answer for - the high color/saturation of either film is, in so many ways,  perfect for landscape photography - or for interesting graphical juxtapositions as here. I'll admit the frame was rather more underexposed than I'd hoped, but happily this had the effect of just intensifying the colors. The old lenses, as long as they are not subject to flare or any unwanted incursion of light, perform fine with high-saturation color film - Mute is spot on there.
