Wow, what a delightful composition-rich scene!

As Ernest said before: We want more vertical panoramas! This is a very nice example, keeping the eye busy looking up and down... and the balance of the color areas is just perfect.

Thanks, Klaus.  I appreciate your opinion!

wow, very intense, Phil.  I just love the film aesthetic and deep colors.

Really good Klaus. The black and white fits the subject perfectly.

:) Perfect timing Adam

I like it a lot Rog. It's got a very exciting combo of colours.

And speaking of colour, wow Phil, just wow.

I had the opportunity to shoot an early morning sunrise yesterday with Adam Miller @A miller and Dirk Raffel @DirkR440 who was in visiting NYC the past few days.  I had to leave my home at 4am, fortunately Adam and Dirk wanted to come to the other side of the river and shoot the lower west side of Manhattan.  I suggested this spot, one I pass every day going to work. Getting up 2hours earlier than I normally do (on a Sunday) was a little difficult, but well worth the effort.  It was really nice to meet up with some fellow members you see here.  Meeting Dirk for the first time was great and I haven't shot with Adam in some time, we were long over due.  I couldn't wait to get home and develop the negatives, looking forward to seeing what Adam and Dirk captured during this glorious sunrise.

Very good, Marc!  It was a fantastic morning and made all the more fantastic with your and Dirk's company.    I have been a pumpkin for two days for the holiday but just came back online and have my developed film in hand and running through my scanner 😅

Outstanding! Whenever I will have the opportunity to come over again, I would like to go out shooting with you guys on some of these fabulous locations! And I promise to get up early in the morning 😁

Looking forward, James.  I find that getting up early in a small hotel room filled with other family members is the toughest thing to do.  I applaud Dirk who was feeling a bit under the weather yet still sucked it up and took advantage of the opportunity.

Very good, Dirk.  I am fairly confident that you will get a lot more out of the negative with your home scanner.  But it was a fantastic morning and thanks again for joining!

wow, that is so cool how the stitching feature in LR works.  That is almost exactly the width that my Technorama captured!

Love it, Marc.  Much better than my version, which I think was taken very close to simultaneous with yours.  I am adding mine for the entertainment factor.

I think this is terrific Adam. Really excellent. I had a look at the two crops and for me cropping this image will just turn it into a bit of a "meh normal beach scene". To my mind the scene only really comes alive on a really long stretch of film like below. I realise that for a large print the image isn't finished so for instance removing the various dark stones and sticks on the beach will add to the clean and pristine look that the image conveys. So in my opinion print it BIG and print it, um is that tall or long? Whichever, as long as the proportions are kept.

Sorry, Philip - I am a little backed up on my catching up and totally blew past your very kind and thoughtful comment.  I really appreciate your close look and the time you took to do this!

Great shot Adam: I did not know that (as far as I can see his backside) Bruce Willis is a proud owner of a M6J!!

Both of these portraits are outstanding. Chris's use of the black background, lovely incline of his model's head and with her eyes closed is highly classical. Adan's expressions, along with the fabulous light on his younger model's incredible hair, make compelling viewing. In both cases, superlative work.

More Don Valley project, this time taken on my Hasselblad 503cx with Zeiss Planar 80mm f/2.8 on Kodak Ektar 100.  First time for me using a camera (lens) with EV settings - I really like it, I have to say. Does anyone else have any opinions on the subject?

Beautiful shot!
unfortunately the scanner seems to produce some kind of halos around the building silhouettes...

So after further review....the issue is not as noticeable on the hi res tiff, however It turns out that I had a bad scanner setting.  My white point setting in VueScan was at 1 as opposed to 0...thank you @A miller.  As a result the scan started to drop grain rapidly and crush the highlights just slightly away from the buildings creating an unnatural transition .  By re scanning with the white point setting at zero, the grain is returned for an even balanced transition and better representation of the negative.
