Thanks a lot, Adam. I think it has something to do with exposing at EI80, perhaps? Oddly, though, the examples I've seen online suggest that the film should go more pink than this, but that doesn't happen so much with my workflow.

Philip - I am LOVING this color palette.  It is not native to the Portra 160 and you must have a secret packed away somewhere.  Whatever the case, it is very unique and alluring.

Wonderful shot, numbers.

I really like this one Wayne. Zenits are great cameras too. Thanks for mentioning Khalyavin. I am considering having my father's old Zenit brought back to life.

I like these Patrick. It's tricky to get subtle double-exposures but you managed really well here.

Gaah, so I'm in the middle of shooting a project this week, burned through 10+ rolls of Ektar yesterday. Before shooting, I noticed that there was a thing stuck behind the shutter on my 203FE, see this post I made at photo.net, which I removed. I've been told through PM that it is the light seal at the top of the camera where the mirror hits. Somehow it has become dislocated. So now I fear that all rolls yesterday have light damage. I shot them with the chimney open and while the magnifier was up it probably didn't cover enough. Just guessing on my part of course, with luck there's no light damage. Today I have to shoot a location that I won't have much access to so I'll try shooting with the chimney closed and pray that that will prevent any leak. Shows how necessary it is sometimes with a backup body, which I obviously don't have, stupid me.

Anyway, just wanted to vent :)

In 1840, the commercial road for multi-passenger horse-drawn post wagons was opened across the Lenzerheide into the Engadine, up to six meters wide. Thus began the modest approach to tourism. At the northern entrance to the village, the first inn * Alte Post * later became Hotel Danis with four beds for cattle dealers and traveling merchants. Grown were two large stables for the commercial livestock. Today the hotel is still in operation.

Oskar Barnack shot from the same perspective in 1913 with the Ur-Leica his famous picture of the Eisenmarkt in Wetzlar.

Both Stefan, picture 2 for the blue not seen in b&w and b&w for a contrast

I am not a fan for conversion because I have demonstrated in comparison

that when you convert color to b&w you lose details in the shadows

Make yourself a comparison and you'll see Stefan but need 2 cameras

but same lens. I'll post again this comparison if you wish.

Kodak TX400 has a very nice and deep black no doubt

I don't modify the picture by photo software to keep the original atmosphere

True indeed Henry, Tri-X has lovely mid tones and contrast. With a good wet print this picture of yours would look lovely, much better than a scan! I have seen this again today when I printed “Sole Seoul sole” in my darkroom (using split grade), so beautiful the resulting print.

Henry, you are absolutely right. Conversion to B / W is not ideal. I am experimenting with different B / W slide films. However, the results are still unsatisfactory. I shoot almost exclusively slide films.
