H: Oh ... is this a analog camera?

M: Yes, Sir ... it is.

H: She looks very big ... what type of camera is that?

M: This is a MF-camera... it's a Swedish camera called Hasselblad. Do you know this camera ...

H: No, never heard it before ... It's funny that you use a analog Camera in this times ... and you can buy films without any problems? I have not seen any film rolls for a long time. :-)

M: Gentlemen, do you allowed me to take a photo of you?

H: Yes, of course!

Hasselblad: "Klonck!!!"

Looking NW from the remains of Bicknoll Castle - an Iron Age promontory hillfort.  It is on the edge of the chalk-lands of the Downs at the transition to the clay soils and flat land of North Wilts.

Hasselblad 500C, 60mm Distagon, Fomapan 100.

Very nice, Keith. The foreground really provides the dimension.

I like both of these shots, Patrick. What was the reasoning behind pushing to 800?

Thanks, Eoin.

Hello Eoin C,

I guess few things. I enjoy more contrasty and dirty look. Also it was getting dark when I started the roll and thirdly I recently got back to processing my BW film and wanted to see how Kentmere would react to such a push.

Thank you for your kind words.

Thanks

Is there a trick to balancing the exposure ?

you can use your intuition on that but I don't think there's a real formula.  Film is forgiving and I think you should be ok regardless.
