stray cat Posted December 1, 2017 Share #43165 Posted December 1, 2017 This thread is going from strength to strength - so many people using film to take such incredible pictures. I've received a bunch of film back from the lab and, it being raining, started scanning. Here's the first effort: frankston horse-piddle additions 2017 m2, 35mm summaron, ilford xp2 super

Keith (M) Posted December 1, 2017 Share #43176 Posted December 1, 2017 Yet another two from Sunday's stroll around Avebury. (21-35mm Vario Elmar, R5, HP5Plus) Church Lychgate (memo to self - give a bit more room next time! I did actually include the whole of the subject, but for some reason the V700 insists on cropping the sides slightly). stray cat Posted December 1, 2017 Share #43177 Posted December 1, 2017 (edited) I was wondering how the difference between the lab scans I received the other day and my own scan would pan out. Many of you would have seen the poppy photo I posted a few days back, and tonight I thought I'd scan the negative and see how differently I'd interpret it. For this reason I didn't refer to the lab scan. I guess a few people don't have access to a scanner and minder wonder how what they could get out of a negative might differ from the interpretation made by the lab. I'm not the world's greatest exponent of scanning or photoshopping, but I think I know which I prefer. Anyway, if it's of any interest to anyone, here is the comparison, starting with my scan: Edited December 1, 2017 by stray cat

Only the home-scanned version. Don't know whether others have the same issue. Perhaps you can repost the lab scan?
