This is great. My brother's and my shared first car was a Mini exactly this colour!

My first car was a white 1000 mini but my brother in law put an 1850cc Maxi engine in it, made it a bit more exciting

After having my Pen F seize up whilst photographing Cookham Manor, and being unwilling to use Pippa's Pen FT as the viewfinder is darker and the meter is useless, I have another Pen F on the way from Japan. For around $100 these little beauties can still be found, and after about twenty rolls of film they have paid for themselves, given that you get twice as many photographs!

Once you allow yourself to think about engine swaps, the sky is the limit!

It's probably a good thing that I can scare myself perfectly well with a stock engine, but I must admit I'd be delighted to have a chance to play with a turbo or supercharger for someone else to drive. It's a bit like pushing a film to 3200 when it was never meant to go there.

Snap - well not from Japan, but from a dealer in the UK - a Pen f together with a 38 f/1.8. Can't wait to start my diptych journey.

Probably look for second backup body, plus a few lenses.
