Thanks MIke.

Agfavista 200

Thank you, I had a Pen S that I sold recently because I found the images to be too grainy. However I still have an EES-2, these photos tell me I should probably try some different film in it.

I think you truly should.

This Oly half frame adventure has been a great revelation to me.

Having 72 frames on one roll is very liberating. The PEN F in my view is one of the best designed film cameras. No fluff, no useless features, very Leica'ish. And it is very handsome also.

Lenses are amazing, pretty small and quite fast.

It often feels like shooting with the M3 actually. It puts you in that mental state a bit.

The first photograph taken on my latest camera acquisition.

1926-28 Gundlach Korona 5x7 with a home-built 4x5 back. Rodenstock Doppel Anastigmat Eurynar 13.5cm lens.

Polaroid Type 55 4x5 Land Film, expired 2004.

F11, guestimated exposure at about 30 seconds.

A reprise of the post above. When I took this photograph I cleaned up and kept the Polaroid negative. I finally got around to scanning it. Here is the result, the negative obviously contains a lot more detail than the print.

And a crop of a picture on the mantle, including a microscopic hair and a water mark. :)

I have several more sheets of this film, I'm looking forward to shooting it.

As a matter of interest, a 4x5 negative scanned greyscale at 4200dpi gives a 3.62gb tif image, this camera is going to cost me a lot of money in hard drives.

Nice to see the return of the shadows from you Adam. Your exposure here is spot-on in my opinion. I'd be interested to hear about methodology, can you please inform a comparative novice like myself?

thanks, Steve.  If I used a meter, it would have been my incident meter to confirm the strength of the early morning sunlight (sometimes at 7:30am the sun is not as bright as it is during the middle of the day and so an additional stop or so of exposure may be warranted) .  I didn't care much about the shadows so having good exposure on the sunlight subjects was all that mattered.  My guess is that this would have been f8 and 1/1000 at 800 ISO.

During my summer trip to Seattle I forgot a roll of Trix in a pair of shorts that got washed by my wife 5 minutes after I took them off ...luckily I realized it before the dryer. Anyway, the roll was developed 2-3 weeks after. Feeding the reel in the changing bag was a little complicated because the film was still wet and sticky. Surprisingly pictures actually came out but you can see the damaged emulation specially in the sky areas. It kind of sucks, although they’re not masterpieces, of course, so at the end I do not care too much for a wasted roll.

Beautiful shots, combined with a constant reminder that you were lucky enough to marry a very efficient woman.

Thanks
