Christoph the green is superb and this little blurred side gives a plus

Thanks for posting

Henry

Henry,

it was rather dark in the woods, so I was working with 1/8th or lower, unfortunately not quite stable enough to avoid some blurring. On the other hand the blurring fits well to the miraculous magic atmosphere of those woods.

We spent 3 days to visit Loire's Castle Valley and we live in this farm hotel 3***

We only took the option for dinner ... delicious ducks in barbecue in a delicious olive

oil sauce :)

Kodak TMAX400 (for Klaus) :)400 Isos are enough for me , not need Isos race

camera to take pictures inside , almost in the dark . It was 8 pm;and i keep the "original"

and "natural" atmosphere , no distortion ! Thank you Kodak

Wattsy,

Your pictures are nice, particularly the one of your daughter (?). You definately caught the right moment. And now, if I may, I am curious at which crossroads you find yourself, what would you describe as the right reasons to take pictures, and finally, what do you intend to realize?

I haven't posted for a while (and it's hard to keep up with the thread). If I'm honest, I'm at a crossroads regarding photography – I'm not entirely sure I'm doing it for the right reasons and I haven't recently taken any photographs that come close to realising what I had intended. However, here's a couple to keep in the thread.

Melbury Abbas from Compton Down in Dorset. Fujifilm 400CN.

Ian  we'll be sad if you abandon film and pass into the "dark side"

If not , what do you mean "crossing road" ? ...  if it's not personal

I like your landscape pictures , all your landscapes pictures color as b&w

like this picture above : great perspective effect and nice black and grey tones

This last picture of your daughter is beautiful Ian, naturaly well done :)

Thank you for sharing may be the last :(

Regards

Henry

First Welcome Uwe to our thread :)

Wonderful picture with great realism Uwe

I would like you make some portraits like that and compare them with your digital camera (M10?) :)

Thank you for sharing

Thank you both for your kind words. I wasn't intending to sound dramatic nor am I planning to pass into the dark side (as Henry put it :D ). I've just been pondering some recent photographs and thinking that I have been shooting too much on 'auto-pilot' – taking a lot of photographs without thinking about why I am doing so. There have also been a number of rolls that I have been dissatisfied with – both stuff that hasn't really worked out the way I had hoped (which is fine because that's how we learn) but also some poor choices of subject and light, etc. I also think I might have shot too much colour film. My "crossroads" is really just about changes to my photographic approach: shoot more black and white, possibly go back to 35mm as my primary focal length. Nothing major like buying an M10. :D

I might have a photo or two taken there (Honey Street Café?) on one of the rolls I currently have at the lab. :D
