A miller Posted July 18, 2017 Share #36423 Posted July 18, 2017 Thanks, Gentlemen. Gary - I wasn't calling this photo a failure but rather the other dozen or so that I shot rather unsuccessfully How could that be called a failure???Gary Richard - wow you are really making that Rollie sing! Such a gentle touch with gorgeous soft colors. Really well done! Finally got round to scanning a bit more... this is one of many from a holiday trip up the sleepy NSW coast a few months ago. Rolleiflex, Portra 400 Beautiful colors! wowowow ...fantastic! Great ....!!! Chapeau .. Best gregor Wonderful color like you are there , great atmosphere of sunset Thank you Adam Henry Thank you Henry for being our gracious host. More smooth Portra 400, this time in the swamp while the mosquitos slept. All Rolleiflex/Portra 400 Excellent composition, tones and sharpness, Chrism. It really all comes together very successfully. F6, 28/2.8, Pan F @25, Rodinal 1+50, X1 scan:Cape John by chrism229, on Flickr The tide was out when I arrived, and I managed to scramble round a couple of headlands to get to that point. Sadly the tide did what tides do, and going back I had to paddle over wet slimy rocks that were very slippery. I kept the camera dry, but it will be a while before the sprained hip and torn hamstrings let me try it again.

mikemgb Posted July 18, 2017 Share #36426 Posted July 18, 2017 (edited) Beautiful and interesting pictures Mike Abandoned factory ? I like the grey and soft tone of this film Thank you Henry Abandoned grain storage facility on the banks of the Mississippi. I don't like this film, I prefer a little more contrast. A yellow filter might help but I"ll probably just try different films. HP5 looks good, I need to run a roll of FP4 through it. If anybody wants five rolls of 120 Ilford Delta 100 PM me an address. Guest )-( Posted July 18, 2017 Share #36428 Posted July 18, 2017 Thank you Coog for your kind words We begin well our day , with your beautiful and relaxing landscapes Soft and superb color of Kodak Portra 400 Philip will like reflections of your pictures Thank you Best Henry These are terrific. Very effective use of both the Rolleiflex (not everyone's first choice of landscape camera) and the film. Very nice Coogee. Where were these shot? Richard - wow you are really making that Rollie sing! Such a gentle touch with gorgeous soft colors. Really well done! Thank you all. I am very smitten with the Rolleiflex.. I've been so busy with it I spent an entire day scanning yesterday so apologies if I post a few too many at once. That one was from Bombah Point in the Myall Lakes National Park. They're all from that area or Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest just to the South. This one is from Tea Gardens, Kingdom of Pelicans. blackandwhite Posted July 18, 2017 Share #36429 Posted July 18, 2017 Jean-Marie ... and if you put a frost glass behind the lens , you can see the image no ? Picture print is still nice after so many years Thnk you for posting Henry Henry - yes, that should be possible. I do think that even taking pictures on glass should still be possible with this kind of camera - I'll take the time to resarch about these old cameras. On the other hand, the friend who lend me this camera also lend me his Sinar f. So I am going to try out large format - I actually did already: one picture, nothing geat, but I see the possibilities that only large format offer. The problem is I have no outdoor Tripod reliable/strong enough for a Sinar camera. No Towel, neither, and some other stuff for large format ( dark room material) But as soon as I have some a little bit acceptable result I'll let You know. Also, I am very busy working right now so the time to occupie with photography is limited. Here just for You I post this very first attempt to take a picture with the Sinar f. No artwork, no great photo just a first test by a complete newbe. Welcome, dear visitor!
