I haven't shot with black and white much this year. Now that the summer is bleaching the colours out I might start to use more. Here's a couple from some nearby woods. T-max 400 I think.

Ian, very nice pictures specially the first !

Great contrast and black tone

Ian I agree with you, it's not the same mind when you shoot in b&w in comparison

with color.

When I photograph in b&w , I think in b&w :) and I highlight , like in your pictures ,

more the balance betwwen light and shadow . The best in b&w is "contre-jour" (like in

your picture 1 and 2) because the "game" or "variation" between black and white and shadow

is greater than in color IMHO. It's more difficult to work in b&w.

Best

As I said you previously I am also the photographer of the wedding

of Etienne the brother of Sylvain I showed you some pictures above ,

two years ago :)

Here some preparations pictures , during this wedding of Etienne :)

I took all pictures in film Kodak TX400 this time and in color Kodak Portra

Some with digital but not the majority . Finally Etienne , like Sylvain , prefer

pictures in film , better as they said !
