I spent some nights to print Sylvain's wedding (2 weeks ago)

Really nice when you enlarge

Sylvain* prefers my film pictures in comparison with pictures coming

from Canon 5DII of the official photographer.

Here's one picture (in contre-jour) :)

"Buggy"  of the groom by his brothers (Etienne and Victor* at right) and friends :)

* I know them at birth :)

Edward I begin to have the habit to look at color of Vista :)

Very nice and vivid color

Nice series Edward specially the pictures 2 (lovely smile) , 3 ,4 and 5

The last fruit is very famous in SE Asia and people love it ... it smells , it smells.... :)

Nice and faithful color of the fruit

Thank you so much Henry!

I admit to being a Durian fan myself :) The more it smells the better it tastes!

That was my last roll of Vista 200. Next in line for scanning is a Fuji Pro 400H.

Lovely wedding shots, Henry! No wonder why the groom prefers your shots to those of the official photographer! :) Edited by edwardkaraa

I like take pictures to "frozen" the time of this wedding moment , like picture of

Jean-Marie young boy posted above .

The expression in all the faces and the looks are the great moment to save :)

...  may be in 40 years , Sylvain will look again at these pictures and will be happy

may be not possible , in the case of digital with the change of OS or another

problem of saving.

I lose some hundred pictures in my dead Hard Drive Western Digital like that

In print,  a good reproduction lens is also desirable in the ultimate result of photography ,

as in hi fi with loudspeakers that reproduce the original sound recorded through the microphone like Shure brand

In photography , the same role as the lens mounted on the camera  :)

the two extreme ends of the photo chain

German Focotar Leitz lens mounted on Focomat

and the result in print 30x40 cms is outstanding :)

Henry, I have a Focomat II and I've never used it. In fact it's NOS (never been used). I have done plenty of darkroom printing in my college days, but I am sort of intimidated in setting this up.. then there's ventilation to think about, plumbing,  and all the other logistics to having a darkroom in the home. But I need to do it!

GN , in my opinion Focomat is one of the best enlarger . I had a Durst before

Why ? because of the "Focotar lens" , one of the best Leitz lens

If you can , go for your Focomat and print yourself especially if you like b&w

So you like Kodak Portra color :)

Lovely wedding shots, Henry! No wonder why the groom prefers your shots to those of the official photographer! :)

Edward thank you for your comments.

May be wedding pictures are not interesting for you , but I want to demonstrate

here that film can be easily used in this occasion , not need digital to do it.

In addition , you can print and enlarge as you want , pictures in silver paper are

nicer than coming from inkjet printer .

Believe me because I already made the comparison . My critical mind is back again ! :)

I don't need race Isos camera  , 400 Isos are enough for me :)

Notice all details and color in the shadow . Dynamic and sensitivity

of film are really great !
