Doc Henry Posted July 5, 2017 Author Share #35562  Posted July 5, 2017 (edited) Thanks, Henry.   "Fur" is a good way to describe it  Adam, may be "hairy" is more adapted but he looks like almost a bear from back Edited July 5, 2017 by Doc Henry

Doc Henry Posted July 5, 2017 Author Share #35572  Posted July 5, 2017 (edited) Just to post a french forum link , to show you M10 pictures (pictures of Sebcouf) http://www.summilux.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=81008&start=900 It smells a lot post processing , and IMO color is not faithful > green of trees (pic 1 and 4) and stones of building (pic 3 and 4). Anyway we have a color problem , compared to film ! ... and always this hyper-net aspect ("too perfect" because of "synthesis") is really present. I know these places in Paris and I have some pictures in film (I'll post for you) Best Henry Edited July 5, 2017 by Doc Henry
Doc Henry Posted July 5, 2017 Author Share #35573  Posted July 5, 2017 (edited) weeds.jpg  M7 & 35mm F3.5 Summaron - Ilford Delta 400 & yellow/green filter  Howard I understand now use of filter , is it to highlight flowers and weeds at right ? }{B Posted July 5, 2017 Share #35574  Posted July 5, 2017 Howard I understand now use of filter , is it to highlight flowers and weeds at right ? Nice black and grey tones Thank you Henry A yellow/green filter lightens grass and the leaves on trees and I usually use it or at least a yellow filter for most black and white landscape work. If I wanted to darken a blue sky more than a yellow or yellow/green filter would then I would use an orange filter but this wouldn't have the same effect on vegetation as the other filters.  In this case the effect is a combination of a shaft of sunlight hitting the flowers and the filter making them lighter as they were yellow.

Doc Henry Posted July 5, 2017 Author Share #35576  Posted July 5, 2017 (edited) Just for the color of film , rose in this case fidelity, consistency > flowers have the matter (important for relief) > advantage film   Fuji Superia 100-Leica M7-MacroElmar 90 Any correction as usual   Welcome, dear visitor! gsgary Posted July 5, 2017 Share #35577  Posted July 5, 2017 Many weeks ago, I try to shoot street photos (SP) with the heavy SLR and a Summicon 50 just to see the result  Here some pictures  SP Paris 2017   Kodak TX400-Leica R4S-Summicron 50   She saw me  Image16sppariskodtxr4slfht+++1000.jpg  She did not see me , busy watching her smartphone and SMS  Image2sppariskodtxr4sfeslfht+++1000.jpg   In conclusion : SLR still operational in SP , but a little heavy in comparison with M camera. In example the S camera not adapted for SP  Best Henry  The beauty of a M for street photography is you can see outside the frame
