Advertisement Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Hi 105012, Take a look here I like film...(open thread). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Wayne Posted July 2, 2017 Share #35382 Posted July 2, 2017 Hey fellow film friends, At this moment my wife and I are just hanging around in our hotel in Los Angeles, sort of cooling our heels until tonight when we'll fly back to Melbourne. I've been keeping an eye on the posts to this forum when I've been able, and have to say that the quality of work has been staggeringly good. Personally, I've not shot a lot - two rolls of Tri-X and five rolls of Portra. It hasn't really been that kind of trip, but I've thoroughly enjoyed it all the same. I hope there'll be a couple of shots good enough to post. During the time I've been away I was very excited that one of my pictures was selected for the Print Swap competition run by Magnum. I don't think it means I'll automatically get full member status LOL but I certainly feel very honoured. I just wanted to give a shout out to Wayne, who was so enthusiastic about my picture "Grand Final" when it was first posted here that I chose that as my entry. Thank you Wayne. And thank you to all of you who continue to use and believe in film, and participate in such a good-natured, supportive and stimulating forum here. Actually, now that I think about it, I might just take the Leica out for a walk down Sunset Boulevard... That is fantastic news. Glad to hear we may be seeing a few new photos. Took the grandson to Cincinnati Zoo and Great American Ballpark to see Cincinnati Reds play Chicago Cubs. The IIIA and Canon 50mm 1.4 LTM tagged along. Hope to have a couple shots to post. Doc Henry Posted July 2, 2017 Author Share #35390 Posted July 2, 2017 Hills surrounding Florence. XP2. It doesn't get much more beautiful than Tuscany. This was made from the balcony of the Villa Agape, a hotel which in those days was run by an order of Nuns, who were themselves as old as the hills. The hotel was originally a ducal palace with a magnificent garden, and still operates, but has been taken over by a commercial gang who boosted the prices. The Nuns have since moved on. Michael, I like these different plans in this landscape and a beautiful black and grey shades Thank you Rg Henry

The picture I posted is uncorrected, just what the scanner produced. In addition, it is close to the spectacular colours we enjoy here, with the world's cleanest air (measured as particulates per million).
