A great portrait Phil  :)

The face is beautiful  in definition, color and details

Thank you for your comment and thank you for posting :)

Best

Henry

Thank you sincerely, Henry. Photography gets you to lots of places and meeting interesting people that probably wouldn't happen otherwise. At least that's what I've found. I went to the Northern Territory on that trip mainly to get pictures to submit to a Paris-based photo agency I was with at the time - mostly nature and landscape, but the art and artists really interest me greatly.

Thank you so much, "Poppy" Doc and Philip.

Here's another I've found in my archives. Artist "Lofty" Bardayal Nadjamerrek (now sadly deceased).

What a great opportunity and wonderful portrait Phil.

.

And agreed. Photography is a great raison d'être for so many travels and experiences. I feel a little incomplete without a camera in my hands when travelling.

Beautiful! Was the storm coming or going, Howard?

It was taken over ten years ago so I'm a bit vague on the weather. From the look of the sky I'd say that the rain was on its way which it usually is on the west coast of Scotland.

Sincere thanks, Christoph.  I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I have never held an M5.  But there is lots to appreciate according to what I have read.  Hope you enjoy shooting with it!

Adam,

Your Magnifying glass did indeed see an M5. It's a fascinating camera that I greatly enjoy using. Its not as good as the other M's - and at the same time better :) . A few things work in the wrong way compared to, say an M6 - the rewind button, the exposure counter - it does feel bigger, I miss the 28mm frame in the viewfinder ... but then the lightmeter in the viewfinder works great, and changing the exposure times while keeping the camera at the eye is simply a joy ...

As to the B&W picture of yours: On my ipad screen the colour versions catch much more attention. However a well printed Baryt print may easily stand its own against your colour snaps. But then it is not a competition, but a different medium, both with their own distinctive characteristics.

Rgds

Christoph

Many thanks, Henry.

Monochrom black and white gives another aspect for your NYC landscape Adam.

I love both , color and b&w , but sincerily the "pure" b&w (not converted color to b&w)

has my preference. It's unique :)

Henry

What a beautiful RED.  Wow.  Can't wait for that film to be re-released!

Just brilliant yet again, Brendan.

+1

Love the lustre of the leaves and the graphic of the palms against the windows.

+2, especially the leaves.

Brendan what nice black and the nuance in the grey palette is superb

details are wonderful in the first picture

Thank you for posting

Henry

love the tonality of the first one!

Brendan - Adding to the chorus regarding the leaves.  Just fabulous.

Thank you all for the comments, they are much appreciated!

I recently decided to try HC110.  I have been finding it to be much more convenient than D76, but I am still not sure if I like the results as much.  Since I am away from home for the next two months, I'll have to see how all of my shots from this summer look when I get home, and decide what developer to use for all of the rolls that I'm currently shooting...
