It's a nice photo, Neil, and it's inspiring to see that you're taking to film so wholeheartedly.

At the risk of being the odd one out (which has never stopped me) I prefer the scanned version, but I also know that the proof is in the pudding and that only through a side-by-side of competently made digital and analogue prints will it be possible to compare properly. I have a feeling though that it would then be difficult to tell them apart.

So here is the contact print............To my eyes the contact print is 10 x better than the digitise one...what do you think?

Contact Print....the forum cropped the bottom but its there

I have enlarged in 30x40 cms and framed these two pictures below :)

taken at the same time > advantage two cameras one in color one in b&w

You lose details when you converted color in b&w , well visible when crop

Deep Ardèche (France)

2015

Which you prefer ?

Here another rare film from 1985. Ilford Ilfocolor HR100. Officially this film was not available in Germany, but I could buy it at my photo dealer. No idea how he got it. The only color-film from Ilford I know. Guess it must be from a japanese manufacturer.

after seeing that....... got me thinking my M6 would be a good accomplishment for the 8x10 rather than lugging the 503. What do you think?? I would have to learn how to load that frigging 135 film again :) :) :)

I've read on the internet that the MP takes better pictures.

Neil , Philip is right , MP the best IMO :)

the result is superb never missed a single photo. In addition a light camera ,

don't need battery if you shoot with f/16 rule, all mechanical :)

The idea has merit Neil, even if you only run colour film in the M6 (or MP if Philip gets his way).

Great back up as well.
