Some more shots with the Minilux. Two weeks ago we spend some time in Wernigerode (Harz) and I took my sons to a hike in the woods:

These are all lovely pictures, James, and shows what good things can happen when you "bend" the rules (like using a high ISO tungsten film for landscapes and portraits!). May I just ask whether you used a filter (85B or whatever it's supposed to be) on your lens or filtered out the tungsten bluey colour when you scanned?

Very nice.  Looking forward to seeing more!

Portra 400. I love the natural colors from this film, no post processing necessary!

Love the rendition on this one, James.  Has a classic yet clean feel to it.  Your handsome son is growing!

Morning sky fire over the East River (which by the way isn't technically a "river" but really part of the Atlantic Ocean :) )

(Manhattan Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge in the background.)

Linhof Technika Press 6X9, Zeiss Sonar 180mm (each, circa late 1950's), Portra 160

Very nice, Adam. Good to see the Linhof being dragged out into fresh air again. 6x9 is a beautiful format.

Thanks, Eoin.  I actually drug it out yesterday morning to Rockefeller Center and actually took it off of the tripod a little :) (not my choice, but security guards sometimes need to feel relevant)

Thirdly, in line with my second point, I was surprised at the rough and ready environment created at the stalls. True, it was a fair and not a shop environment, still, for a procedure that affects my body I would expect a rather clinical appearance. But probably the actual status is also part of a subculture that I am obviously not part of -  I have to remember to ask those questions next time.

This is a wonderful series, Christoph, and really presents something of the experience - Very well done! I hope you continue with these forays, despite the fair being over.

I read what You said about my wife's photo and told her. As she's French, her English isn't good enough but she told me to say thanks to all of You for Your compliments.

As some of You did post some boat pictures, here is one I shot with my Leica IIIf in January, in La Rochelle, France.

Simply a souvenir picture, but I love boats and ships.

The framing is nice and black and white tone superb

Same case here. It seems that tripod can become war weapon for terrorism !

Crazy world !
