As promised in my post above, look at this picture taken with Leica MM1

Moiré is really horrible on the bars of the 2 buildings  specially at left

No moiré in film  :)

The fault is due to squarred pixels and smoothing line by camera software

I'm back to film too, the reason? I've been back in the darkroom doing Silver Gelatin Prints for my next exhibition, these prints show the true qualities of the film, if you look only the pictures on a monitor the difference is not so noticeable, but when you do an enlargement from film and you look at that amazing quality, it's unique. I'm very happy with my Leica Monochrom but when do you print inkjet the quality is not the same. Right now I'm doing Dihital Negatives and printing in Silver Gelatin Paper making contacts, it's very nice, but in my opinion, the film and the timeless negative are still better.

Lluis

Besides the M6, lately I have been shooting with an old Mamiya 645. It's the only medium format camera I have. I really like the large negatives! Scans are so much better on the Epson V600 compared to 35mm.

Thank you for the comment. I get considerable inspiration from this thread. I am deeply grateful to all who contribute.

I was thinking of Ian (Wattsy) when I took the shot below.

1. A while back, he posted a shot of an old tire, along with a humorous comment on the subject

2. He was gracious enough to to respond, fully, on a question I PMed about concerning his 90 Macro-Elmar, inspiring me to purchase the Collapsible Elmar, to try out the physical characteristics/advantages of such a lens. I am pretty happy with it, and think I may go for the Macro-Elmar, combine it with the 50 Summicron DR,  28 5.6 Summaron (LTM,) M3, and call it a kit.

Old tires, BBQ, WD40, and a folding chair..........The stuff of a productive day.

Wayne really nice choice of the subject . From an environmental point of view,

decadence of modern civilization.

Nice color and thanks for posting.

Your collapsible Elmar 90 must look like the Macro Elmar 90

Took a trip down to the Land of the Long White Cloud a few years ago, and took this unpeaceful activity on an otherwise VERY peaceful lake:

Outstanding Christoph  :)

Nothing to say :) for definition, contrast, tone it's perfect

with soft lines of face arms and legs , not hypersharp like in digit.

Thanks Christoph

If I got some time I went through my archive and scan some old negatives. Now I found another rare film I exposed in 1992. An ORWOCOLOR QRS 100.
This was the first, or maybe second, film offered by ORWO for the Kodak C-41 process instead of the old Agfa-Color process after the end of the GDR. It was only short time at the market, since ORWO Filmfabrik Wolfen was liquidated shortly after it's introduction. Guess it was only available for about 2-4 years.
Got the impression, that the negatives faded quite a bit, although stored in the dark most of the time. But with some effort they could be scanned quite well. So it's hard to say if some colors depend on fading or on the character of this film.
