I do have the impression that pics You post are better and better all along this wonderful thread. Something a little bit different today: in 1969, my dad offered me his Voigtländer Bessa from 1948.

Four days ago, I had a walk with it and shot some pics . I used a HP5 Film  and develloped it in Ilfotec HC. I scanned the photo on Baryte Paper.

Jean Marie very nice and "relaxing" picture

Soft black and grey tone.

Thank you for posting. Have you more ?

and glad see you back :)

Just a Hoosier princess, happy to be hanging out in the garage with Dad and his buddies.

Lovely portrait in contre jour

Hektor still nicely operational... not need to spend money to buy another lens :)

Thanks Wayne

For Eoin and GaryB :)

Kodak Portra 160-Leicaflex SL-Summicron 50+ Elpro V1b

Picture directly from Nikon scanner , uncorrected not need !

When you watch poppies in film in comparison with digital all brands confounded include Leica , the first thing you notice

that the lines are soft like in the nature, not hypersharp and thin for the petals of the flower. In addition, the vivid red color

is faithfully reproduced (human arterial blood) > advantage film  :)

Hi Gary,

I am sorry but I don't know. The reason is, that I have "outsourced" the development of MF-films. I send always my color films and my MF-b/w films to a film lab. Usually I take for my 35mm XTOL but I will test now Adonal ...

Lovely tonality Ratz, what was the developer?

Loaded question, as I am on a Tri-X quest soon, and my last foray using R09 left a little to be desired with the 35mm Tri-X.

Gary

Thank you very much! Yes the atmosphere is really fantastic there. This cemetery was directly on the former Berlin Wall on the east side. I am not sure but I would think that the first photo was the former "dead zone" .... It is not ironical!

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this picture. All elements combine in an interdependent way. It has to be on film, in square format and through a tonally rich lens like the Zeiss. You'll have to go back without your wife sometime!

The French cemetery in Berlin

attachicon.gifGER_Chiemsee-Berlin_R4_TRIX400_01_listo.jpg

Hasselblad 500cm, TRIX400, Epson V700

Unfortunately that is the last photo of this very nice location, but it was very fresh and my beautiful wife was ... let me  say ... "not very amused" with my project to make photos on the cemetery ...

Very well done Ratz , we feel a quiet place through your two pictures

The place for all humans :)

Captain. For twelve years now, a faithful companion to my farmer, neighbor, D. He will not leave me alone until I have given his ears a five minute scratching....Big whiner!

I feel obligated to take a photo of him every time I visit. Just as with some people, it is hard to get him to look at the camera.
