I thought this was interesting, this is on an old roll of Portra 400 VC which expired in 2010 and which hasn't been stored properly since then. Not too shabby.

Not sure you have this softness in watching and this faithful color in digital

Thanks Philip for the demonstration .  All your flower series with Blad are great :)

Thanks for posting

Thanks, Gentlemen.  I am torn between a giraffe and a camel on this one, I must say.  Christoph is right, though.  It is a total zoo here no matter what. :) LOL

Awesome!

This is great, very creative Adam.

New York is one big zoo ... well seen.

Very nice, Philip.  I like these better than the Provia as the highlights are a little better tamed,

Continuing my trawling of the archives... I like the tension in this shot, which was taken a loooong time ago. With this picture I won the first prize in a photo competition. The prize ($200 if I remember correctly) didn't matter nearly as much to me as the nod by the esteemed judges - who were the highly respected Australian photographers Athol Shmith and John Cato.

Your comment about green and red ?

I also remind you the "softness" of lines and edges of poppies , not cutting like a rasor

or scalpel in surgery

The Elpro is working great Henry, I like the pair I have (V1a and V1b).

Gary

I have only V1b Gary. with V1a you have the difference ?

About SLR for poppies in macrophoto ,it's easier and lighter (comparing with extension tubes)

than my R8 with Vario Elmar 35-70 in macro position.

The summicron 50 germany with Elpro  is better in definition, contrast and color than the japanese

Vario Elmar ! I see a great difference between the 2 SLR R8 and SL !

I have both Henry, mainly as a splurge, Dunk suggested they could work with the X-Vario, and I bought a pair.

There is a slight difference between the magnification result, but not really enough to worry about.

Agreed, the R8 and 28-70 I had was OK, but definitely the SL and 50/2 is way better.
