Carrots are vegetables we eat almost every day

If you want to verify color film , take carrots in picture and compare digit and film

and tell me what camera gives the real and faithful special orange color of carrot !

It's like poppies for red.

Demonstration with Kodak Portra 160

Leica M7-Macro Elmar 90

camera and lens are also important I admit with you

Possibly just the humour, but if you were serious, why not Kodak Gold? The pic looks fine to me.

I have been using a bit of it, but am looking to take some Ektar overseas with me, and some Portra on Doctors orders.

Gary

Hi Gary,

No, I don't like this film. The results of scanning are not so fine as a Porta o Superia. The pic is ok, but I am not so happy with the other pics. I bought this film only for testing ...

I think that, I falling in love with the Ektar. The first pics (MF) of yesterday looks very good ...

Best, Gregor

Gregor interesting advice about Kodak Gold

Many years ago, I bought Kodak Gold and here is one picture scanned with Nikon Coolscan V

Nikon Software. I think you can have a difference when you print. Mine is fine in print  :)

May be Kodak Gold manufacturing have changed in 2017 ?

Gregor look at the spectral sensitivity curve (page 4). Kodak Gold goes from 370 to 700 nm

and film characteristic curve between 100 and 200 Isos (also page 4)

Another Kodak Gold film for Gregor :)

I like this subtle purple color of the entrance , with its nuance  and you ?

Green and yellow are nice too. Here it looks like Portra 160 and price is cheaper

I like much Gary really nice black and grey nuance.

I think you can't  have this rendering , in converting color to b&w with your Sony A7 camera

and in addition , edges and lines are cutting like a rasor , too much agressivity when watching

and unreal. Sorry to be franck Gary.

Take the same image with both cameras for comparison ! :)
