Henry, Adam, Philip and Phil thank you for your kind words! As a matter of interest the location was an abandoned hall in Belgium formerly used as a customs transshipment facility. When I 'discovered it' in 2014 I realized it's potential for photography and arranged four photoshoots in as many weeks. Being a slow printer the results are only now coming off the press. Then the building needed much attention to save it for posterity - it is a really lovely building offering potential for redevelopment. Fortunately some initiatives have been made, the building has been cleared of vegetation (there were trees growing on the roof) and access is now no longer possible.

I found the waterproof Nikon Action Touch 35mm f2.8 to be soon much fun in the pool and beach, particularly with my daughter.  It has a flash and manual focus for use under water (otherwise, a pure point and shoot, but with a good lens).

Here are a couple with Portra 800 :)

Lovely color portrait even under water

Adam , you move for submarine photography :D ?

so I wait now for landscape of "Life is under water"  :D

Thanks

Henry

Thank you so much, Henry. I know you love your contre-jour! And from what I observed, Boston dogs have almost as much character as Parisian dogs!

I'm really enjoying your "plants" series Eoin. T-Max 100 film has such an interesting tonality. Sometimes it almost looks "metallic" somehow. And the blacks are just luscious.

More plant stuff (EOS-1V HS w/ ZE 135 f/2.0 - T-Max 100)...

This is truly fantastic. I just bought Erwitt's Snaps and not even he produced photos like this.

Philip - thank you - you can't imagine how much I appreciate this comment. Elliott Erwitt is one of my main influences. I have always loved and admired his work and the sense of fun he brings to his pictures. In fact one of my most prized possessions is an Elmar 135mm lens that he bought from new in 1960 and used in that era.

These pictures fromthe Masai Mara are just wonderful, Philip. Did you purchase the 200mm lens especially for this excursion? Obviously it has been an essential part of your kit. You have also mastered the light in Africa, which I imagine is no small feat.

Thank you very much. Yes I did buy it for this trip. I toyed around with various options to have a longer lens but realised that I wouldn't be able to lug around a 400mm lens so 200mm plus extender was the solution. It's probably my favourite EOS lens actually.
