I think digital would turn that into mush, or just look too (fake) sharp...I don't know... hard to describe. But I do think they are remarkably sharp in a good way.

GNU, precisely I will post a crop of a photo taken in the same place with the M9 converted into black and white. Lines too much sharp Black not beautiful to see (clogged, confused , lack of homogeneity) Not the case of the film That said the 35 Summilux A. is a very good lens.I don't regret buying this lens Vertical line , with note from 2 (low) to 5 (excellent) from left to right : center,1/3, edges and angles sharp begins at f/2 In the trees picture , I must be at f/8 Doc1.pdf JMS Le Monde de la Photo Best Henry Nice dog GNU Edited May 4, 2017 by Doc Henry

Aguilera85 Posted May 4, 2017 Share #31971 Posted May 4, 2017 My first roll of film in 6 years. These are scans from the lab. I am waiting to receive my Epson V600 so that i can scan the film from another lab that developed my M3 film, because their scans were terrible. Should be able to get better detail on these pictures as well. Of coarse i don't want to saturate all of you with an entire roll of film lol. So heres maybe 3 or 4 that i like. All these take with Canon AE-1, 50mm f1.4, Ilford HP5. Welcome, dear visitor! stray cat Posted May 5, 2017 Share #31975 Posted May 5, 2017 While I was in America this past couple of weeks I took one camera, one lens and nine rolls of one film stock. My purpose of the trip, which I booked the evening before I flew out at 9:30am the next day, was totally unrelated to photography. The presence of my camera enabled me to get some space and unwind my mind from the pressing issues I found myself dealing with. It helped more than I could have anticipated. I intend writhing an essay about it to post on my website. Anyway, enough talk, here is a picture: Boston, April 2017 M6TTL, 35mm Summicron, Tri-X

gnuyork Posted May 5, 2017 Share #31980 Posted May 5, 2017 Canon AE-1, 50mm f1.4, Ilford HP5. Posting my last couple of photos sparked my to get my Minolta SRT 201 out of storage (it used to be my dads and he gave it to me a couple years ago (even though I used it all through college, which is when I took those Plus X photos of the pumpkins). I also have a Canon AE-1 Program that I have never used recently given to me from a friend... and I have a great condition Argus C3 that was my grandfathers that he gave me a couple years before he passed away. Looking at the C3 intimidates me, with all the dials, but I watched a few You Tube videos on how to use it last evening. When I shoot 35mm I usually go for the Leica, but I should give these older cameras a try for something different. I'm very curious how the C3 will render images....And of course, still waiting on my Rolleiflex from CLA (4 month wait). Somebody here suggested I get it in To Harry Fleanor before he decides to retire. I thought that was a god idea, but painful to send off a new toy right away. Anyway, my whole point was that I have a Canon AE-1 too and I look forward to trying it out.
