Bordeaux, in the west of France, has a long history. These are ruins from Roman times. Wine, for which Bordeaux is so famous, has been produced since those ancient days.

A nice picture in b&w , for a great city and good wine Michel :)

Thanks for posting

Thanks, Henry. I agree with you. My goal with this photo was to capture a peaceful pastel paint brush look. The clouds were not moving fast enough to achieve a "paint brush stroke" look from the clouds. But i tried!!

I dont think my wife appreciates this sort of scene. But she is right about most things so it was important to get opinions here to help validate my impression.

You are exactly right about the time of day.

Thanks again

Adam, people (not your wife) like now digital pictures (the majority) and I think they lost the original view

Disability of visual memory  or voluntary abstraction , because they not compare... color is distorded

but they don't care need only to have one picture , so you can sell them what you want ......a smartphone

It's enough

For Edward :)  some more Fuji in Laos

During my humanitarian mission in 2005 in Laos, just shoot some pictures

during a break of 2 days :)

Fuji Superia 100-R4S or Leicaflex SL-50 Summicron

It's a "Buddha sacred stone"  behind the Pagoda, just for the color

I like this soft but also vivid color of film and important "without correction

in photo software"
