I once cam across Jonas Peterson of Australia who travels the world to shoot weddings.  Primarily natural light and lots with film.  His "street style" of composing is quite brilliant.  If I were a wedding photographer he would be a big source of inspiration, particularly with regards to the use of natural light...and film

The reason I like film is the edge and line completely soft , not sharp like in digital

Same finding when you look in the Nature

Thanks, Adam. It was very dark. I don't know what the shutter speed was, but fast enough to still the spokes at the hubs when riders were doing 75-80 kmh. They didn't scan very well, but may print OK. I should have developed a little longer, but I had another film in the same tank.

For me it's the practicality of digital over film at a wedding, the way weddings are shot has changed dramatically in the last 20 year, to shoot how i shoot film would look good but I would be shooting 3200 or 1600 or push processing all the time and that look is only appealing to a minority of couples, it's a target audience that in my part of the world would not sustain me.

Eoin , as you still have the MM , have you compared two same pictures analog (ex M) versus MM ?

I am curious to see what you obtain :)

Nice picture of your daughter in full action. The first thing I notice ,  it's the grain with

after the composition-framing of the picture. Very nice

Thanks for posting

Hi, Henry.

They are strangely similar, although the MM is a bit sharper with the SA 21, I like both. My daughter now has the M6 with her over in Netherlands, so I guess my choices are being made for me.
