I shoot weddings with natural light in a natural way but on digital cameras. I shot film for years as a press photographer then moved to digital before starting weddings, nothing would scate me more than shooting a whole wedding on film, especially the way i shoot. I'm begining to shoot a few frames here amd there on my leica but i couldn't shoot the whole day.

M9/M10 with your M2  for next years weddings

Edward it's very easy to develop yourself specially b&w if you like b&w film

Just need a tank and a little time. Work well done with no scratches

Henry

And just developed my first E6 (Velvia and Provia... What do 6x9 positives look impressive.. just can't wait to scan them, and then I'll show some here!

Cheers, Chris

I don't think my wife would let me remortgage the house ☹ Besides, i love shooting wedding on my Sony A7Rii it feels closer to film than the canon's i've used for years. I would love to use an M10 at a wedding though, so if there are any sponsors out there

Welsh , I prefer clearly film ,  already 4 weddings during 3 last years

and the married prefer film

https://photographylife.com/why-i-shoot-film-as-a-wedding-photographer/

The soft side when watching pictures , I mean not agressive and sharp as a rasor ,

the "flat" side of the picture in digital, the "synthetic" side of image coming from

a "robot" camera (by photo software inside) and finally the result of color not faithful *...

that's why film is appreciated by the couple instead of digital image .

Regards

Henry

* sensor color optical spectre is not suited with physiological color spectre of eye for the moment

at the state of sensor manufacture in 2017, even for the M10 . Do you know that ?

For me it's the practicality of digital over film at a wedding, the way weddings are shot has changed dramatically in the last 20 year, to shoot how i shoot film would look good but I would be shooting 3200 or 1600 or push processing all the time and that look is only appealing to a minority of couples, it's a target audience that in my part of the world would not sustain me.

Yes Welsh, for the practicability I agree the only reason for me and I understand your argument

.... but you can also do the same thing with film for the beauty of the image , the soul of what you watch :)

Best regards

I don't like flash during a wedding because it disturbs the ceremony and some priests

don't like, I prefer monopod more practical but in pictures below only my MP is sufficient

I don't need also to push film , here Kodak TX400 to 800 , but I can if I want

Another wedding of "Marie" and "Ludovic" son of one friend practician in Montelimar in 2016 .

All the wedding is in film , some in digital (M9-M8) but I don't put them in the album.

too much "digital" in comparison with film !

Black of film is a real black with grain , natural grain not artificial grain from photo software

The signature :)

The prof. photographer with a digital camera hasn't take this scene , so the couple is

happy to know I took them.

Paul is at right and Marie is at left

Leica MP-50 Summilux Asph very luminous lens for wedding so no flash needed

Kodak TX400 (dev myself in Kodak Pro D76)

Not need monopod :)

and I add this notice of the professional photographer

The photographer told me that he is afraid that these pictures with his Canon and Nikon

are not beautiful because too much bright and strong spots light , like you can see in the

picture . I do not have this problem with film !
