Thanks, Erl and Gary.  One thing that I have always said is that if I were ever reincarnated as a wedding photographer, it would only be with film and only with natural light.  That is where the real magic is...

Yes, nice images Adam. Lovely light, a glowing bride and, forgive me for saying, much more natural glow without the flash, which I know is a favourite of yours. Just showing my personal bias again.

In agreeing with the comments so far I'll add that these will quite likely eclipse the professionals results, certainly they will add a different dimension. Beautiful.
Gary

Very interesting and impressive, Welshtog.

Here are some colour shots from another project 25 years ago, freshly scanned. These were shot on Jessups Slide film, AKA Agfachrome,

Picture taken two weeks ago , when I visited the organic farm

I must wait the end of the roll ....  I know it's better you shoot in digital

but for me not the same quality than film , sorry to say that , for the digital lovers

Picture uncorrected , directly from scanner to post

Your thought for green color of Portra 160 , GaryB ? :)

These are amazing photographs especially too for their historical content. A Welsh pit? One of the last?

Thanks

Thank you Edward for your comment  :)  and to come here to post your pictures for sharing with us :)

In spite of artificial light and difficult light condition , I think it's a success and the lovely portrait

is superb, color of skin is nice like the arm of the baby  :)

As I said you above in "I love my M7" thread , try also Kodak Portra 160  :)

Beautiful grain with Ilford D400 . You dev yourself ?

Portra 400 picture 2 has also a nice red (lamp and roof of the pagoda)

Best

Thank you for your welcome! :)

I do plan to try Portra 160 and 800 soon. I love Kodak emulsions, they look very cinematic to my eyes.

Unfortunately I don't develop myself. I send my film to a couple of pro labs. They do the processing and scanning, though I ask for low contrast scans in 16bit tiffs so that I process the images to my taste.

Edward it's very easy to develop yourself specially b&w if you like b&w film

Just need a tank and a little time. Work well done with no scratches

I shoot weddings with natural light in a natural way but on digital cameras. I shot film for years as a press photographer then moved to digital before starting weddings, nothing would scate me more than shooting a whole wedding on film, especially the way i shoot. I'm begining to shoot a few frames here amd there on my leica but i couldn't shoot the whole day.
