wattsy Posted April 18, 2017 Share #30861 Posted April 18, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) What I am writing about is that: It appears to me that these are more recent photos, which may well be Autochromes, which were taken with more modern equipment & then were altered to make them appear as if they were made at an earlier time. ... I thought, given the wide range of expertise that many people who participate in this Thread, that it might be Academically Interesting to investigate the possibility that my perception might have some viability. It might be interesting for some people to look at this series of photos with a critical eye & to see what results appear. I think we already have, Michael. Perhaps a good topic for another thread?

philipus Posted April 18, 2017 Share #30866 Posted April 18, 2017 What an interesting history that chapel has. I found this article. Does anyone know what these pillars depict? Looks almost hellish somehow, a bit like Rodin's gates of hell. A few more from Steetley Chapel, Fuji GW690III foma 400 Terrific Paul, very cool composition. Kodak T-Max 400, box rated. Paul Picnic-spot.jpg All look great Eoin. How do you find the camera? And very cool effect from the TS. Who needs a lensbaby? A new (for me) old camera...Singapore (EOS-1V HS w/ TS-E 24mm. Tri-X rated @ 1600)... A001 by Eoin Christie, on Flickr A002 by Eoin Christie, on Flickr A003 by Eoin Christie, on Flickr You give Erwitt a run for his money with all the dog shots. Very enjoyable. Sorry we are shut M4P + 28F2 Ultron HP5 developed in Rodinal To me this is a true 'wow' shot, very cool Phil. It must have been difficult to get the sun in the frame given the speed of the jet. Seeing this make me wonder why one would need a gazillion AF points and follow focus. Just great. Speaking with Wayne just now, I was reminded of this picture I took of a fly-by by an FA-18 Super Hornet at the 2015 Australian Formula One Grand Prix. It was so incredibly fast and so loud and practically right above me, that I almost fell over taking this picture: Flight Path, Melbourne 2015 Canon F1N, FD 80-200, Portra 400

philipus Posted April 18, 2017 Share #30874 Posted April 18, 2017 (edited) Thank you Henry. I do have a flash for the Hasselblad but i didn't use it here. The ant was on the trunk of a fallen birch tree and the sun reflected off the white. Exposure is a bit off on this photo because the meter (and I!) was fooled by the reflection and with Ektar requiring quite accurate exposure the result is a slight 'sheen' to the specular highlights. I look forward very much to your macro results Henry Edited April 18, 2017 by philipus
