I did a stupid thing today, but the chemistry gods looked after me. It's probably about six weeks since my last C-41, and I mixed up the time for colour developer and blix, and realised just after starting the blix. So this film had 6.5 minutes in the CD, and somewhere between 6 and 7 in the blix. The negatives looked dark - the mask is brown rather than orange, but the incredible thing is that they scanned quite nicely. Obvious magenta tint, most of which disappeared with FlexColor's auto-correct. In LR just about -5 green tint and tone down the magenta saturation. They did not go grainy, but are quite saturated which was actually an improvement on my usual experience with Superia 400 on dull cloudy days. I guess I shan't worry overmuch about tipping the colour developer out exactly at 3.5 minutes in future!

Only lived here 31 years and I never noticed the skull on Main Street before!

Interesting how the vertical movement is converted to horizontal with a chain around a hinged quadrant.

It rained on me so I had to finish the film indoors and the cat wasn't interested.

Now, this is my idea of great street photography. Ever notice how stray dogs, no matter what they are doing, always seem to be having a great time of it?

Thank you most kindly, Wayne. Yes stray dogs (like certain stray cats) have a way of enjoying themselves in the street. And Elliott Erwitt identified French dogs in particular as those that always seemed to have the most fun!

Those are some very well stacked shelves, impressive. Btw I think the photos look quite OK actually.

More flowers, now some Daisy contre-jour. Almost broke my back crouching to get this shot even though the waist level finder helped some.

Not sure which kind of reader I have in my M7 model - the old one or the LED based one.

It's easy to check. If you see the copper "sensors" inside the M7 it's the old one and you can use it for IR. My M7 is loaded with film at the moment so I can't provide a picture

The very keen-eyed among us may be able to (just) see a Mirage fighter which happened to (very speedily and noisily) transverse the airspace in my picture as I took the exposure:

...  see you on tuesday :)

Have a nice week end All

Best

Henry

Hi Phil , Brabu, Eoin and Hi All ,

I am back with a lot of pictures , almost in b&w (5 rolls) , only 1 roll and half another roll in color. Weather is not very sunny , so my choice of b&w but I take time to compose many castle pictures on tripod : Chambord , Blois castles are great and grandiose !

I'll dev. to morrow and will post for you . Leicaflex SL and Leica R4S as backup , MP-M7 as principal cameras. Some digital pictures just for comparison (my spirit of searcher is back :))... and for Gary I used R 35 mm on my Leicaflex  :) Not need to change film with 4 analog cameras :)

This thread is really a good thread , 6 pages of beautiful photos during only 3 days :) Thanks gentlemen :)

Best

Henry
