This is excellent, Adam. Very contre-blizzard. Like hibernating [fill in appropriate hibernating creature...], coming to life by soaking up the Sun. I love it.

So, the SWC is now a travel cam, as well as action?

Looks nice, loving the Ektar with it too.

Gary

Yes, Gary, The SWC is all things to all people. There's a weird coloured vertical vignetting occurring down both sides of all of these shots, which doesn't run across the top or bottom. It's not noticeable in B&W, but this round of colour has it slapping me in the face.

Are you fully decided on your armoury for Europe later this year? I guess the Canon 50 LTM has booked its tickets, too?

A Perth is a type of city, Adam. They can generally be found in places like Scotland and Australia. This particular one happened to be in Australia at the same time as I was there  .

Thanks for the education, Eoin.

As for me, we are off to Miami Beach tomorrow for 10 days and I have packed the following:

503cw + 80mm planar

SWC

M3 + 50mm DR cron

Oly XA-4 for hopefully some close ups on the beach

Nikon Action Touch for the pool and beach (including underwater)

Travel carbon fiber tripod

All my LEE filters

135 Format Film Stocks:

Portra 160

Portra 800

Ektar

120 Format Film Stocks:

Portra 160

Velvia 50

Provia 100F

Cinestill 800T

Surprisingly, this all doesn't take too much space.  :)

I hadn't noticed the vertical vignetting, but Adam has commented on your find, and after looking, indeed it is there, just.

The Europe short-list is somewhat less than what the average photographer takes to Miami, but at "this" stage includes the MP, 21/4 (maybe), the 35/1.4, the 50/2, might take the 50/1.4 as well, might.

SWC is a given, with A-12 and A-16, if I haven't found another A-12. Film I have selected a swag of Delta 100 for mono, and Ektar 100 for colour. Keeps the transposing of light readings simpler if I keep all the same, old brain has to work less that way. To cover a few unexpected issues, I have a bit of Delta 400, and some Portra 400 too. Digital accompaniment will be the ubiquitous X-Vario.

We keep it as far west as possible, as far from the other cities as we can ;)

these are nice, Eoin.  I do see those vertical lines.  Wonder if its from the scanner...?

Could be, Adam. I outsourced the developing (I only do B&W myself), and these images are from the scans done there. I'll rescan myself after I pick up the negatives.

Sounds good, Gary. I also like to stick to few options on the film front to counteract my forgetfulness and indecisiveness.

I really like the SA 21mm that you found for me - It is a stunning little lense. I think it will go well for you in Europe.

Just when I thought my GAS was in remission, I've developed a hankering for an EOS-1V to be able to use my EF lenses on. The hunt has started...

Have you got your family signed on as assistants to haul all that gear, Adam. Did you scare them into it by hinting at shooting LF? ;)
