gbealnz Posted April 1, 2017 Share #29923 Posted April 1, 2017 This is nice Gary. I have only developed Fomapan 200 in HC-100. It looks much better in Rodinal. Thank you Philip. It's a decent film, but I've stocked up on a heap of Delta so am looking to try this and I from discussions here Rodinal may not be the best for Delta. Accordingly, I have a bottle of DD-X to try. Open to suggestions though (for the Delta 100). Gary

gbealnz Posted April 1, 2017 Share #29928 Posted April 1, 2017 Beautiful place with nice b&w tone Gary You have a Super Angulon 21 M ? your advice ? I'll have the opportunity to have one in second hand Best Henry Advice Henry? Hmmmm, love/hate to be honest. It is small enough to carry in the bag, but is made in ye olde times, when glass and brass were used, so it's quite heavy, "nuggety" is a word to describe it. It requires a separate finder, so that can be a pain, and it will not allow metering within the M6/M7/MP etc, as well as the digital Leicas, the rear element protrudes too deep. Way too deep. But as a cost effective wide or super-wide, I am warming to it. It has a similar FOV to my SWC (horizontally anyway, or similar I think if/when I use the A-16 back on the SWC). So I have been trying the SWC and the MP with SA21, and will have a better idea at some later stage. Right now I'm torn between keeping and quitting, but really should give it a bit more time. If I still have it in August you can have a try while I get the coffee's sorted. Gary

I think it'll be nice for landscape You say it's heavy and prominent at the back ... not good for digital like M8 it can touch the sensor ... and in addition need a separate finder so many conditions all this Henry Edited April 1, 2017 by Doc Henry

Wayne Posted April 1, 2017 Share #29936 Posted April 1, 2017 (edited) Welta Weltur 4.5x6, Fuji 400H, Xenar 7.5cm 2.8 It took some doing to find out; ultimately I went to town hall (the location of the previous photo taken with this camera and film) and discovered, this is a statue dedicated to "Goose Girl," the main character of a Grimm tale having same name. Evidently, raising and selling geese was very popular business in the area during years before dawn of 20th century. I believe there may have been some fondness of wine, as well.
