Xenia Posted March 31, 2017 Share #29903 Posted March 31, 2017 I am was very surprised about quality of b/w pictures from this age _DSC0574.jpg That's because the photographers used really big large format cameras at the time and people had to sit still and keep their eyes open Wonderful photographs! Wayne Posted March 31, 2017 Share #29905 Posted March 31, 2017 (edited) Thankyou very much i have some more worse than that they took a bit of salvaging so they are all a bit different Thanks again. I love the dog, looking at camera, in far background of first shot. It makes me laugh. I am not sure what it is; in many photos, such as these, including some characteristic that provides less than perfect reproduction of subject, it sort of distorts normal perceptions: these are not just dogs, but creatures........sort of like us. I don't know. I lack the philosophical acumen to present it. Anyway, thanks again. Edited March 31, 2017 by Wayne

What a wonderful expression (and eyes!) you've caught. Very difficult to take interesting pictures of people taking "selfies", but this one nails it. Superb.
