stray cat Posted February 1, 2017 Share #27425 Posted February 1, 2017 Sure as in this picture of Phil , it's better in color than b&w In color only you can see this vivid red You agree with me ? Superb red Fog is better in b&w and poppies better in color I think Kodak TMax100-Leica MP-35 Summicron Asph Image5testcron35mpkodtmax10feslfht+++-1000.jpg Best H Thank you yet again Henry. I think I was initially attracted to this as a colour picture because the colours are those of the French flag, which is of course seen all over Nouvelle Caledonie. and of course that is, in itself, a classic of minimalist design. Yes, fog is definitely a subject where you are far more inclined to reach for a camera with black and white film. The grain in film especially lends itself to the subject. Phil sure it's not the same IMO in comprison with your MM. Please post pictures when you compare both cam. with same subject and lens It'll be interesting for all of us Thanks in advance Henry Again, thank you Henry. I don't have a Monochrome camera. I was simply using the word monochrome as another term for "black and white".

honcho Posted February 2, 2017 Share #27427 Posted February 2, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) .....The SWC is about it have seen a couple for sale recently and at reasonable prices too. A more versatile and ofter less costly alternative is the Mamiya 7ii with the 43mm Sekor. I personally prefer this to the SWC on most levels and used it very successfully for quite a few years. The Mamiya 43mm lens is a biogon design and arguably superior to the Zeiss 38mm biogon of the SWC. If I had to choose between the SWC and the M7ii/43mm, it would be the Mamiya. Just my personal opinion, of course.
