honcho Posted January 24, 2017 Share #26721 Posted January 24, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very pleasant Steve. Looks like a terrific place to visit for almost otherwordly pictures. How do you like the CV 12? I've seen over at Cameraquest that there are several really wide lenses and I'm considering adding one of them to my bag. br Philip Thanks Phillip. I bought the CV 12mm ltm version 1 when it was launched. I like it very much for it's dramatic perspective, extreme vignetting and high contrast rather than it's resolution, which, frankly, is not brilliant. Resolution is often vastly overrated with lenses that should be considered more for their artistic merit than anything else and the CV 12mm is one of those lenses, imo. The 10mm is very good on digital, I've seen for myself what it can do on an A7ii, but as far as I'm aware there is no external vf available for the CV 10mm, which would make composition very hit and miss with film. These lenses are beautifully made, especially the ltm version in chrome and the viewfinder is a work of art. If you get an ltm (v1) CV 12mm, then you might want to track down the filter adapter ring, which takes 77mm filters for black and white: Welcome, dear visitor! Suede Posted January 24, 2017 Share #26722 Posted January 24, 2017 There's so much out of focus here that I can't see where the intended focus was meant to be! There must also be camera shake because it's a handheld shot at slow shutter speed. I still like it for that little red glow of the burning coals. Welcome, dear visitor! gnuyork Posted January 24, 2017 Share #26723 Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Royer 6x9, Angenieux 105mm 4.5, Lomography Color Negative 100 I encountered, for the first time, a guard goose, rather than a guard dog. He came charging out, honking in an aggressive manner, as I took the shot. The goats are enthusiastically, if not well protected. img359-2.JPG A guard goose... I love it! Wayne Posted January 24, 2017 Share #26724 Posted January 24, 2017 A guard goose... I love it! Thanks. I had to laugh as I got back into my vehicle: it made me think of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf.
