Bateleur Posted January 18, 2017 Share #26301 Posted January 18, 2017 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Here's the photo that I really like of a cheeky little girl, but it's not perfect in that capturing the look I only got focus on furthest eye. I still feel it captures an unrepeatable moment. Captured with the M3 again on Ilford XP2 Of course I love this cheeky madam who is growing up far too fast. Doc Henry Posted January 18, 2017 Author Share #26308 Posted January 18, 2017 Just south of the town of Prachuab Khirikhan, this picture is taken on the main street of the little town of Khlong Wan. To the left is a restaurant and to the right is a shophouse. Thailand must have one of the highest per capita consumptions of plastic bags in the world, and scenes such as these are common. Leica M3 | Summicron 35v4 | Portra 400 Khlong Wan _______________ Alone in Bangkok essay on BURN Magazine Nice contre jour with nice color. Doc Henry Posted January 18, 2017 Author Share #26309 Posted January 18, 2017 For Mitch , the cunsumption of plastic is similar in Vietnam But it starts to recycle but not in a way as we do in Europe with reconditioning plants It seems that off the Pacific , we have a plastic island that floats the size of the state of New York .... and fish that eat micro debris, fish fished and then eat . Doc Henry Posted January 18, 2017 Author Share #26314 Posted January 18, 2017 Chris the first thing i am looking for is skin , here it's perfect , you see natural "pores" (very small holes) Secondly line and edges are "soft" very pleasant to watch , not agressive at all (not cutting) Finally beautiful and lovely shots ! I wish a great longevity for your Mum Regards Henry I go back after my comment above , to say you that analog picture is not perfect , I admit that's why I love , faces of Chris Mum and son are not too sharp I mean the edges , they speak to me when I watch the pictures , not the same impression when I look in digital . That's the mean reason i abandon digital ! Best Henry

philipus Posted January 18, 2017 Share #26316 Posted January 18, 2017 This is from a walk in the lovely Clingendael park here in The Hague last autumn. Wonderful light that day and when I came across this scene I became very excited. Heaps of people around but, I realised, for just a few seconds there wouldn't be anyone on the path in the background. So I quickly composed, focused and took the shot...which unfortunately became a bit blurred due to focus being slightly off. I shot the Provia 100 at f2.8 or f4 so had a rather narrow DOF, but the aperture priority in the camera made it possible to chance it exposure-wise; one of the reasons I really love the 203FE. Still, I like the light and the composition a lot. And if one squints it even looks to be passably sharp Philip Flickr 203FE 80 Planar Provia 100 (Coolscan 9000 wet mount)
