We sailed from Port Klang (then Port Swettenham) for Chennai (then Madras). Here is one I took in 2014 of the confluence of the Gombak and Klang rivers in KL. The walkway on the left was PACKED with people and the water was crowded with ducks.... A regular exposure with the Ektar would have given 1/4 or so of a shutter speed which would have produced a photo cluttered with blobs of people and ducks annoyingly blurred. So I decided to remove the blobs with an ND filter. With the reciprocity failure, the exposure was in the 90 second range... Another picture. I call it Chelsea Suite because I think I may have been walking through the Chelsea neighbourhood of New York when I took it, although in fact I have little idea where I was at the time (I'd stepped down from the High Line and was looking for a subway station). As long as the spirit level is faithfully used all is typically ok. Paul Thank you Paul, for a very unexpected comment I scanned them with my Epson V700 using Epson Scan on 'auto everything', imported into LR, clicked on 'auto tone', played about with a few sliders and well, that is about it apart from lots of cloning/healing of dust and other blemishes. It's a pity I don't have a 6x6 cm scanner I shot and E6 developed my best stuff with a Mamiya C330S and Yashicamat 124G in the 1990's. Perhaps if I'm not so busy in work after mid-February I will have a go. Anybody know how to scan 6x6 on a budget? I've tried a flat bed Epson Perfection Scanner and a Cannoscan, but found the process too time consuming and tedious. Moreover I wasn't happy with the resolution. Thank you for sharing your work and laying the gauntlet down and challenging those of us with hidden archives.
