Contre jour walk in the woods, Fuji GW690III, Foma 400 developed in Rodinal 1+25

Sorry it's been so long since i posted something every time i go out with the camera it is always dull or my mojo has gone

but also bought a new record deck and phono amp and been remembering how much better vinyl sounds compared to CD

also treated myself to some top notch headphones made by Bowers and Wilkins so i don't annoy the wife with Black Sabbeth

Gary I am with you this time, for your back vinyl discs

A good decision and back to the real music , not agressive and hard of CD

You know it's like digital (too sharp with smoothing lines) in photo

For me it's a same fight !

Good listening Gary and Bravo Gary

Bonne Année

Not a contrast issue. The first time I tried stand development was last March, when I had exposed at ISO400 and ISO1600 on the same roll of Tri-X. When I saw saw the results I liked how the highlights were rendered in the exceedingly bright and harsh light at noon, in which  I often shoot in Thailand. Still like it.

Rega is also a good English turntable.

Gary , put a good reading head like Shure or japanese brand .

You know as somebody has sold all their vinyl  sometimes for 1 Euro the disc , they regret now

I kept all my vinyl discs classical music some few hundreds sometimes unique interpretation not found in CD.

It reminds me of people who sold all their analog photo equipment to buy digital and now buy back to film  :(

A Happy, healthy, peaceful & prosperous New Year to one and all!

My latest film usage comprises a roll of Velvia 100 and one of Portra 400 - both of which are in the post to a lab - hope to have them back in a week or so.  In the meantime, here is one from last June aboard Brittany Ferries Pont Aven on the way back from Spain.  M7, C-Sonnar 50mm, Neopan 400, Rodinal 1:50.

It is a retired newspaper staff camera which I broke my finger nails on setting the iris and speed ...

i ended up giving it to an other friend for parts after shooting a roll at the local park .

Cheers , JM.
