Thanks Ian

Your impression in comparison with old summaron 28 ?

I've never tried the original. :D  I'm impressed by the results from the new one but not convinced by how it feels – it is quite fiddly with what seems like a long focus throw (with the close range feeling especially awkward). I'm not keen on the infinity lock nor the focussing tab which seems to require two fingers to use and seems less natural than the modern concave tab. All in all, it is an "I'll think about it" lens (which is a shame because I do like the output and the physical size of the lens).

I like the attitude of people who stops fixed by the image

It looks like we stop at time "T0" (zero)

Beautiful effect and beautiful color Adam

M-A may be for 2017 and Portra 400 a good film too

A fathful color of fruits and vegetables.

Happy Holidays Adam

Best

Henry

PS : The M-A allows to take pictures of street in a discreet way, which gives beautiful images

Adam agrees ? compared to the bigger Hassy :)

Thanks, Henry.  The M-A is perfectly good, as are all of my cameras :)

Stray first welcome to this film thread

The color is superb really superb

Is't hippies ?

Thanks for posting

More ?

Best

Henry

Thank you so much Henry, both for your warm welcome and for your generous observations.

This is a portrait of a girl I met while I was having a coffee at the store in Laurel Canyon. She actually approached me when she saw my Leica "cool camera" and said she is a photographer too. Not sure if she is a hippy, but I thought she looked pretty cool and she was kind enough to let me take a photo.

I will post some more. I am really enjoying this thread (and in fact this forum). Like many here I tried digital and for many reasons went back to film. It is with film that I enjoy photography.

With best regards to you and all on here, and may 2017 be a wonderful year for you.

Cheers, Phil

And a nod to Adam, this looked great in colour, but of course, who has colour in their camera when such a picture presents itself.

I'll return and do it in colour of course.

Well, I just took posession of an Olympus Trip 35; a zone focusing, all auto, no choices, point and shoot. I got it for my wife who just likes to..."point and shoot" so we ran a roll through it to make sure it was in good working order.

I must say, it's an amazing little camera. The exposure choices were spot on and even though the inside shots defaulted to 1/40, there was no blur/shake on any of the images.

I'm very impressed.

This is Kentmere 400 shot at 400 (no choice; the camera reads the code) and dev'd in D76 1:1.

the first image is our lunch (with the ever-present Nikon FM2n) and the second shot is me, taken by the wife, slightly backlit. I had her point the camera to the shade away from the direction of the sun and then half -press the shutter to lock the exposure and then since it's zone focusing, you just point it at me! That's as technical as it gets with this camera.

Love this one, Gary.  And yes, my mind is screaming for velvia...and also for a slight tilt to make it level :)
