I love the good old times :) we use a other one in Prien/Chiemsee and the little boy inside me loves this ....

But one question ... the little white dots are only on the CHS 100?

Thank you

It was bloody freezing due to the pretty extreme winds, something like 27m/s. But while I did get hit by the water a bit the camera survived nicely. I found out that I am actually waterproof.

Got yer feet wet ? Lovely shot, feeling there !

Feet will dry. I'd be more worried about the electronic box camera used.

Great, timeless shot Adam. I just love the colours, the sunstar and the grand impression of the Brooklyn bridge. If I may, I would have cropped it square to remove the structure and light streaks at left to further enhance the majestic bridge.

Thanks, Gentlemen.  The weather man was negligent again, but at least the Ektar picked up the strong colors from the rising sun as it ascended from the left.

S/W - I use the coolscan 9000 for the scans.

Gregor - It was just before sunrise last week.

Philip - I totally see what you are saying and you are probably right.  However, part of the appeal of the scene to me is the fact that you can see all three of the bridges together.  The williamsburg bridge is quite distant, although with a large print it would be well defined.  There are plenty better ways, formats and vantage points to capture just the Brooklyn Bridge with all its grandeur all in the full frame w/o needing to sacrifice film surface area.  This just wasn't the objective of this shot.

This same shot is hanging on plexi-mount on the wall of the lobby of the building in which I work downtown NYC.  It is about 10 feet tell, clearly enlarged with interpolation as it does't look v goof IMHO.  I will snap a shot on my way in this morning and post it just for fun.  :)

Fantastic! :)

Which Scanner do use for MF?

absolutely agree with S/W ... it is fantastic! Do you remember the time?

Knowing there are other Fomapan 120 roll film users here, here is a problem I've posted on the Flickr Foma Group:-

When preparing any roll of 120 for loading, I am always careful to completely remove the paper securing band. Never had any difficulty until I started using Fomapan. On both 100 & 200 rolls, the band does not separate cleanly from the backing paper, leaving the loading tongue very thin which makes for a less than easy engagement into the take-up spool slot.  Anyone else have the same problem?

PS - the films are all new stock.

How far did you go, Keith? I think that path leads down to an old drove way (the line that follows the hedge in middle distance) which brings you out on the road to Wilcot. The last time I walked it (in June I think) the drove track was waist high deep with grasses and very thick with umbellifers.

Philip and others:

Here is an alternative square format that (I think) Philip was suggesting. I realized that i could manage to keep the view of the three bridges to some degree.

What do ya'll think???
