Gary/Doc

Im looking at Paris from Dec 27 for three nights................my flight would land at ORY which I guess ia a small airport. Where would you guys recommend staying location wise so easy walking distance to all the photo opportunities ??

Neil,

Wanted to answer this last night but the tablet failed.

Where you stay in Paris is as subjective as "what camera/lens do I take".

In 2007 as travel newbies we stayed in a hotel on Blvd Magenta. It was average/cheap, but adequate, just.

2013 we stayed in the Marais area, and in 2015 the Latin Quarter, bth times in apartments (via AirBnB).

Where you stay though makes litte difference, there is always something interesting to photograph in Paris.

If you're looking for the obligatory tourist sights, then aim for those areas. Otherwise, get yourself a nice hotel (or apartment) and just enjoy the city.

Take your M6.
