Xenia it's a great pleasure you join us because your color pictures are wonderful.

Not sure you have this result with digital

The ambiance of all your pictures has a finger print of an experienced photographer !

You are always welcome Xenia and thanks for posting !

Dear Henry, thank you very much!

'Experienced photographer'?

Certainly, I have been photographing long enough...

But I still have that feeling, never being good enough!

Each time I am out, camera in hand, it is harder to be excited.

But then, when the light is right, there is this moment of sheer bliss and I make an exposure.

It has always been that way. The slowness of getting there has been a curse.

But the final result on the lighttable has sometimes astonished me.

Did I really take this picture?

I guess, film and medium format does suite me, my way to see...

In digital, there is always the temptation to become a shooter.

The quality of a medium digital file has all the potential of a film negativ.

But at the cost of a good car and the awkwardness of ergonomics.

And that tendency to shoot hundreds of files leaves me deeply troubled.

It is so easy to shoot away, but much harder to get anything satisfying.

I think, I have finally realised that if I am going on photographing,

it has to be with film and my trusted Hassy.

Good light, whereever you are :)...!

You managed to find some 120 TMax 100, Neil? Where? I've had some on back-order from B&H for most of this Millenium.

Eoin, Photoimpex in Berlin sells 120film of all sorts, even TMax 100, Ektar and Velvia. They have a website and -store in English and I have ordered from them several times. We were in Berlin in September and this store is an eldorado for filmshooters. They have almost everything you would like and they pack very well, if you decide to buy.

Here is a picture of the wall behind their desk. My husband took it and I have got his permission to show it here.

Otherwise, it is possible to order TMax online from England. Search under 'filmphotography' on ebay.

Good luck and have fun with your SWC!

Neil, I have been looking at your 'wall' and I am impressed!

Your pictures from Rajasthan are quite wonderful, the light, the colours...

but the b&w square photos are exquisite.

Thank you very much!
