sblitz Posted October 28, 2016 Share #23321 Posted October 28, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Interesting., thanks. I was born ready for a dawn shoot. And the señorita from the Challah asked me this morning where her photo was.... I blushed, clutched my bag full of challah, and then mumbled something about how you need to give it to her.... okay .... let's talk Sunday and figure it out ... and I will print the picture
Advertisement Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Hi sblitz, Take a look here I like film...(open thread). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gsgary Posted October 28, 2016 Share #23322 Posted October 28, 2016 Eastman XX is 5.99 for a roll of 24 exposures (guys at the film photography project won't spool 36 for some reason). The CineStill crowd produces this once a year, for some reason they don't make it a regular product. Shot at its native 200 I find it has really good blacks but it is also not a high contrast film, lot more grays than Tri-X -- I like clean, lots of grays. Adox CHS II 100 iso is similar except that it makes orthochromatic so reds come out darker. Tri-X, according to B&H web site is $4.95 for a roll of 36. Ready for our annual dawn water shoot? I've got 300 feet of Double X [emoji3] Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

blackandwhite Posted October 28, 2016 Share #23324 Posted October 28, 2016 Thank You for posting Your great pics !!! I enjoy all of them, it is to enlighten my day just before I go to bed and I must say some of Your pics simply remain in my mind. I'll tell Geneviève ( my wife) You liked her photo. Actually, she stopped when Digital Photography took completely over, - she thought digital is ok, but no real photographic fun ... not like film... - but she's back now with her M4. And to film, of course. She's French, so she has a little language problem with English. But maybe she will join in. Did I post this one ? I do not remember, if not, then it is a nice story, if I did already, don' be angry, sometimes I forget things. A week ago, a man in our village brought an old Hapo 5 camera from 1938 to me. The camera was in a humid, not heated house for 5 years as nobody lived there anymore. I put a Kodak 120 film in, one that was over the date (15 years) and this is the first pic I took, simply a view on our garden. The camera was out of use for ... 60 years or so. Just works... - and this was the last pic I enlarged with the Krokus. Hope the Meopta is at least a bit better, if not, I'll be back to the Krokus ;-) And if I did already post this, I post another picture - that one's done with the Voigtländer Bessa from 1948. From a technical point of view, similar camera ( with leather"harmonica") - but better lens. Almost same view, but lower. And our old cat in front of the roses. Jean-Marie Welcome, dear visitor! EoinC Posted October 29, 2016 Share #23325 Posted October 29, 2016 With it raining outside, I've been digging in my recently-discovered treasure trove of slides. Back in 1987, I spent the best part of a year traveling around Indonesia on my trusty Malvern Star Mountain Bike, and by hitching rides on cargo boats. This little lot was on the South coast of Timor, where I was trying (for a second time) to get in to TimTim (East Timor). These people were Timorese Orang Asli, and did not speak Bahasa Indonesia. I know you'll forgive the quality, both of the images and the digitisation...
