A Treefrog named 'Kalle' visited our garden three following years.

He had a specially placed spot on his back.

Here he was sunning in a rosebush.

^ Glad you did (come back), the motion blur of the traffic works perfectly with the artwork, love it!

How is the SWC in practical use? Do the focussing/viewfinder limitations make it too awkward to use handheld?

I am often tempted. I already have and love a 50mm on my 203 Hasselblad body but know that for me when it gets very wide, I prefer handholding over a tripod.

Thanks a lot.  The SWC is lots of fun handheld, although the results are not 100% predictable given the guesswork at focusing (which typically will work fine stopped down enough) and the likelihood that your shots will not be perfectly level.  That's it where a super light carbon fiber travel tripod comes in very handy.  With this, I can bring along the focus screen and prism finder and easily go stationary with the tripod and get a perfectly controlled and accurate shot.

Great photo, by the way, the bright yet rich bokeh is really stellar, as if the varying levels of contrast throughout the scene.  Really well done.

Thanks, I do love my 110 Planar and seem to stop it down as infrequently as I can   :)

And thanks for the feedback on the SWC. I think I'd probably sit, kneel or just rest it on something if I possibly could and definitely invest in a bubble level!

It's even small enough to bring with an alternative body/setup and the tripod on more dedicated outings.

I'm guessing an electronic measure of some kind could be almost as useful as a ground glass assuming the distance scales on the lens are good. All very tempting!

One other not-totally-sensible-aperture shot from the same roll as above:
