Thanks, Henry.  Same scanner, very different film stocks, what more can I say?

Here is another with Velvia 50...

Nice yellow of cactus

Thanks for your reply. I think Portra is a bit more defined than Velvia

but both are "soft" not cutting like in digital.

Thanks Adam

The MF gives lager effect for your picture than 135 format

Best

Thank you, Henry! I think i know where you are coming from on the softness. I shot this wide open and so i think the DOF was only a few inches at most and is focused on the throns of the cactus. So everything else is naturally soft and out of focus. I am not sure that there was enough light to really execute on my vision. But i like the yellow and the pov fwiw

You might think I might be able to equalize the renditions, but the Portra 160 is just natively so much warmer than the velvia 50 such that it was like fitting a round peg through a square hole; so I stopped trying... :)

Did you try altering white balance in PS ?

Photoshop

I rarely use the software for film pictures

It accentuates too and it alters the original film image.

Before with digital yes but now with film less, much less

I choose rather a good film like Portra or another good film brand after tests !

Yes I understand

As you know a picture taken with respect to all the parameters like exposure, speed, and if necessary with the help of a light meter

does not need to correct. I speak for the film. In digital it's almost all the time !
