Thanks for following this series  :)

Your opinion ?

Best

Henry

PS : I only shoot with film cameras for this trip  :)

Henry,

Thanks for sharing your photos, of an important and under appreciated work. Society is in transition with so many misplaced people and your hand in helping is valuable in giving them a sense of worth and humanity.

Sincerely

Charles

here is a Manhattan construction site ..... first has no sharpening second has some .... the story here is that it was taken with a Fuji GA645 sold to me by a member of the forum .... still learning my way around a very automatic camera that delivers GREAT results in a 6x4.5 negative .... film here is portra 400 ... nice tonal range ...

Very nice reflections, Henry.

Thank you Eoin for your comment. Yes sometimes reflections give some amazing rendering like here. :)

Charles thank you. Not easy to manage but perseverance can sometimes solve certain situations.

At the latest news , some 200 refugees, including children are going to the UK to join their families. Good news.

In my last mission in Asia, people are more in need than the refugees who have the chance a manner of speaking

to be in France. Over there some are in a catastrophic situation and need that we help ...

Best regards Charles and Eoin

Steve color is impressive and very nice

IMO the non sharpening is fine. Both are nice without.

Impressive camera

In the latest LFI of October 2016 , I looked at the pictures of Jens Umbach with his S006 (page 28-39) "Faces of a country"

and photos of John Langmore "Open range" (page 68-79) with his analog MP  , really a big difference about the perception of images

is presented to me.
My emotion is more for the photos of Langmore with his portraits in film than portraits of Umbach in digital ...
The reason something more  probably because of the silver grain that miss in the S006 .

Some images are blurred but frankly it speaks to me ! really

Henry

He has MP with 35 Summicron and a R6

I also received LFI of July

The second photographer who shoots film is Matt Stuart "London Street Life"

Some pictures remind me much Adam street photos at London not NYC

http://www.mattstuart.com/photography/7irb4yaabaajwrszm6kkix6loy2qmw

Really impressive color pictures

He uses a Leica MP with a 35 Summilux

Good lecture

My butifun wi enjoying her faveriout past time........iphone 6

M6 135mm film TMAX

very nice, Neil.  Gotta love that film...

If I remember correctly this was shot with Porter 400.........I just love the pastel colors of this film.

I now have Ekara film at home and plan to try that out when I get home in a months time.

Nice Neil, but I don't think you've quite gotten into the groove of your color film scanning workflow.  This resulting white balance doesn't look anything like what a well-exposed Portra 400 image should look like.  It should be a lot warmer and the skin tones should be a lot better.  Don't know what exactly you're doing, but I am sure it is fixable.

Leica MP Classic Elmar 50 TriX@320

Child and water

Love this classic shot.

Theme reflection :)

Kodak TMax100-MP-50 Lux Asph

Nice and sharp, Henry.  When well-exposed that TMax is really good.

Unfortunately I am in Nigeria and my scanner is in Malaysia...........Im done with using Vuscan as it leaves a stupid vertical line right in the middle of the scan. I am now back using silverfish or whatever they call it and will preserver with that

Adam I am also surprised by the rendering of Kodak TMax100

It is between Fuji Acros and TX , a soft and well defined film.

This time I bring with me TX and TMax . I'll post some pictures for comparison.

Thanks for your comment :)
